| Produced again in 2004 and 2005. Approximately 125 cases. 20 to 23 months in predominately new French oak. Unfitered. Dry farmed, short vines on steep south facing sandstone. | |
| Pinot Noir Cuvee | |
| Beginning with 2003 Branciforte Ridge Vineyard with its Dijon clones it is blended with Estate Pinot Noir. Unfiltered, 20-22 months in French Oak, 1-3 years old. | |
| Cabernet Sauvignon | |
| For vintages 2001,2002 and 2003 we contracted grapes from a small vineyard
in the Mt. Eden district of Saratoga, a natural site for this varietal.
We blend in 10-15% merlot from a site just south in the chaine d'
Or. 2 years in French oak, unfiltered.
Occasionally we contract grapes from Harvest Moon vineyard
on Mt.Madonna - along with Cabernet Franc.
Beginning with the 2002 vintage the designation "Gironde" will be used, homage of the origins of the grapes used. |

| Only a barrel or two in 2001 and 2002 from a tiny clos,
planted on a beautiful broken shale. 1 1/2-2 years in French oak.
Unfiltered. 35-50 cases.
2003 and 2004 produced 2 Barrels.
For 2003 Merlot and Viognier were blended to produce a unique blend called "La Sierra Azul". |
